The
management of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the Nigeria
Premier League (NPL) will meet with club owners on Friday to decide
when 2010/2011 Premier League football season will start.

According to the
Acting General Secretary of the NFF, Musa Amadu, the management of the
football federation and that of the premier league will meet on Friday

heads the secretariat of the NFF in an interim capacity, however said
after a recent meeting between the NFF and the Minister of Sports
Ibrahim Bio, as well as the NSC Director General, Patrick Ekeji, that
the league may commence a day or two before the nation’s Golden Jubilee
celebration or immediately after the celebration billed for October 1.

Other issues to be
disccussed at the meeting, include the welfare of players, referees,
