Onwuachi of Kavala FC of Greece is set to continue his charity work
with his foundation, The Gabriele Onwuachi Foundation.
The foundation was
launched last December in memory of his late daughter, and has donated
gifts to different less privileged homes. On Monday, February 21, being
the birthday of the late Gabrielle Onwuachi, the foundation will visit
the Alma mater of the former Juventus of Italy and Standard Liege of
Belgium striker to give back to the very school that moulded him.
According to Onwuachi, the pupils of Local Authority Primary School,
Orile Iganmu, is next in line to benefit. “I want to use the birthday
of my late daughter to show some love to my alma mater, though I will
not be around to be part of it but some trustees of the foundation will
be there to give my packages to the pupils,” he said.
Kunle Afariogun,
the President for Strategic Development and Communications for the
foundation, said the pupils of the school, alongside those of Central
Primary School in same premises, will receive gifts. “We have concluded
plans with the school management and also the education board, and come
Monday we will distribute items ranging from exercise books, pens,
branded vests, jerseys, soccer balls and carrier bags to the pupils and
the school football team,” he said.
